Honestly, unless you have a small/light open you are going to want to tow through west PA or MD vs WV unless you are in a diesel/full size truck. You can take 70 to 81, but it will add a couple of hours vs taking 64 or 77, but you won't die or kill some poor truck.

I'm pretty sure my 04 titan transmission would have overheated. It would going up I70 grade with an enclosed. So the two lane mountains, we would have been pulling over multiple times. Best stick to the interstate as far as you can. Did I read you have an oversized suv, that you'd be using?
