'07 Stage 2 STI goes 12.1 on pump.
Vehicle: '07 STI
Mods: intake, header, TBE, Ecutek
WHP/WTQ: 324/358
Boost: 18 peak/16 hold (conservative)
Timeslip: 12.1 @ 113
I posted this for the EVO guys that don't believe the new gearing makes much of a difference. For reference, an '05 with these same mods (and higher boost) will run no better than a 12.5. There's no question that with the boost cranked up a little, the car will run a high-11, and mid-11's on race gas. I'll post the timeslip and a pic of the car as soon as it's available.

whats the new gearing like? taller? so hopefully there's less shifts?
cuz I know the previous STIs in stock form were in 5th gear by the end of the 1/4 mile

I assume he is getting a great 60' (not reported?) for a couple of reasons.
That much wheel-HP doesn't make for a 12.1 run without a great launch (ask any 350 RWHP C5 Z06 owner who drags and doesn't hit 12.1). And that 113 trap is very low for a 12.1 run otherwise.
Nice result in the 1/4.
