Default AP2 vs. Si sedan

So I'm on my way to work. I have a almost stock AP2 w/ the exception of a TP and a snorkel w/ K&N drop in. I don't consider those mods to be amazing. Anyways, I'm in the very right lane there is a truck in the middle lane and the Si in the very left, which I had no clue about. When the light turns green I take off like usual and I hear the Si w/ its HKS exhaust. He proceeds to step on it harder and I said hey why not. So I go into 2nd, were still pretty much neck and neck since he pulled on me first. As I go into 3rd, I pull on him and at the top of 3rd going into 4th, I basically has a car length on him if not a bit more. I shut it down at 80 or so. No traffic, nothing crazy. I've always heard the K-series motors are quick, I guess just not in a Si sedan.

My 2nd race ever in my almost 3 years of ownership. I don't consider the S to be a fast straight line car fairly stock but I just wanted to find out if Si sedans are quick or not.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

The only difference between and si coupe and sedan is 50lbs. They are quick from a roll. But dog slow from a dig or very low roll. Unless it's full boltons and tuned.

Yeah we started off right around 20mph, in 2nd gear. So maybe that's the reason, who knows?

you also got to remember that the Si has the same HP at the flywheel that we have at the wheels.

Only difference in the sedan rather than a coupe is....

1. Girls drive the sedans
2. Coupes are more sporty
3. Sedans weigh ~59lbs more than coupes.

Good kill. I don't have a hard time beating Si's either. A majority of my friends own them.

heh, the sedan handles better than the coupe and has a better weight distribution.

I like the looks of the sedan a lot better too.

That is my buddies 2005 s2000 with test pipe and exhaust vs my si with i/h/e a larger throttle body and a tune.

We raced again with him shifting better and we were basically neck and neck.

I'm not saying s2000's suck or anything at all, don't take this post this way. I LOVE my 01 s2000. I'm sad i'm eventually going to have to get rid of it. It was a little slower than my si, but it's way more fun to drive.

If ap2's had an 8500 rev limit, i think trap speeds would be somewhere around 103 in the 1/4 instead of 99-101.

My friend has an 09 FA5 with hondata flashpro and a race header and I don't have any problems beating him at all.. (Dig or roll)

All i have is a berk test pipe and K&N FiPK.. His beat time at the track so far was a 14.4 @ 97 just a few weeks ago.. He's a pretty good driver so it's not him.. I think with full bolt ons he should be closer I guess..
