Default E46 vs. 01 stock s2000

I posted this over on dtmpower.net but no reply, what do you guys think i was racing.

Columbus Oh E46 vs. Stock S2000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not trying to start a flame war, but am very curious what i beat. Last p.m. in gahanna pulled up to a light and a steel gray e46 coupe no badges, lowered, wheels, cutouts in the front fenders, different bumper, exhaust, pulls up, guy with his girl friend.

Me in a bone stock 2001 s2000 black with powdercoated stock wheels black, 3/4 tank of gas, and 410 lbs. of driver and passenger weight.

We roll out and get to about 25 mph, the e46 goes, no horn ect. That's o.k. He gets 1/2 car and I'm already in my powerband, redline 1st, I get about a car, redline 2nd get about 2 1/2 cars, redline 3rd and probably pulled about 5 cars ahead. He is keeping up but not gaining. I get into 4th and hit about 115 and cut off around 6-7 cars ahead and put on the flashers.

I figured if we kept going we were both risking tickets and likely I would have quit pulling much past 110. My brother has a 328 ci and it seems strong up top.

Guy passes and no wave or thumbs up.

I really want to know if this was a 325 or a 330, it looked to new to be a 2000MY (323/328). I dont think I could have done this to a new 330 manual. Maybe a 330 auto?

By the way he had a huge dtmpower.net sticker.

Not trying to start a war, this is my second driver and was just cruising home.

It wasn't an M3 so the number of exhaust tips aren't relevant. I would guess it was a 323/325.

E46 is the 3-series. (the current generation 3-series)

i would agree that its probably a 323/325. the 330 puts down almost 200hp to the ground, so it should be a somewhat even match.

The E46 is just a code for the 3-series like EG6 is a code for the old (92~96?? I forget the exact years is was produced) civic. Think the older BMW 3-series was E49 or something like that...

the previous 3-series was the e36, and i believe its chassis codes. the next gen 3-series (bangled) will be the e90.

EG6 is the chassis code for the 92-95 civic hatch. i *think* it differs for the sedan and coupes. this, however, i am very unsure of.

I don't think he was "keeping up" if youhad 6-7 cars
