And I totally agree, I didn't build the car, I feel guilty if someone says "nice car" and I take credit, usually i'm like, "yeah, honda did a great job on this one."
The S is perfect for all of OUR needs, but a mustang driver wants a dragster, great. A Porsche driver has more money, great. I'll tell you what, I'd buy a 911 S-4 in a heartbeat if I could, but I love my S to death.
my 2 cents.

Yeah, I love the S, but people tend to want to tear down other's cars, to justify in their mind that they bought the "sweetest" car. I've raced a boxster and won and been happy, but I don't think they are POSs or a waste of money or anything. But I also know there are tons of cars to blow my arse off the road.
And I have a confession to make... When I bought my car a year ago, the only reason I didn't get the Z was because they were only available new and were a little out of the price range I wanted to spend, so I got a used S.. And have been very glad I did.
Alright, I'm getting very off topic now, so I'm going to shut my cake-hole.
