I own both cars, the e46 M3 will walk all over a standard S2000.

Anyone who thinks they have 'beaten' an M3 in a standard S2000 is dreaming. They may have out driven the driver of the other car, or the M3 might just have been playing, not racing.
Got to agree, I've owned a couple of M3's and it is the faster car

M3 0-60 4.9 secs

Honda S2000 0-60 6.2 secs

The end.

yep, people sometimes like to think what they have is always the best. i once had a lad follow me through my village in mitsubishi colt as i was doing 30mph, he pulled over where i stopped and thought his car was fast cos 'he was keeping up' well when im cruising at 30 im sure anyone should, if he was actually putting in an effort to do so....my god.
I thought s2000's were more like 5.7 - 60mph

I rolled up on an evo and got smoked like 2 weeks ago, it was still really fun though we gave each other a thumbs up after we parted ways.

Fail for quoting (inaccurate) 0-60 times. Try this:

S2000 1/4 Mile: 13.7-13.9 @ 100-102 MPH
E46 M3 1/4 Mile: 13.2-13.5 @ 104-107 MPH

See how much better that is?

If you're going to quote fast times like 13.7-13.9 for the S2000, might as well quote 13.0-13.2 for the M3.

It's not that you can drive. It's that he can't drive. He was spinning all of first gear, and even got sideways a good bit.

I'd say he can definitely drive and the M3 driver didn't have a good run.

You can see the M3 pulling back after the pathetic start.
