Yesterday I was out for an early drive when I spotted a Lamborghini Miura up ahead of
me. Wow!
I caught the car up who was obviously out for a Sunday drive (the car was in mint condition )
and as we were heading up a slip road onto a three lane road we had to slow
up for some parked cars (!?) Anyway. As he started to accelerate away from the
obstruction I moved to the side of him, he saw me and, grinning, nailed the throttle. The engine
sounded electrifying as his revs climbed. I gave chase and my car hit Vtec in second
levelling up with him, snatching third as he did likewise I revved it to about 7.5-8k revs leaving
him about 1.5-2 car lengths behind me!
Well, I'm not a maniac driver. The road was nice and clear (after the parked cars on the
slip road!) and the run was in the best humour. The driver was grinning like crazy after.
We just tootled along together for the rest of the trip (10 miles). Fantastic!
What a great way to prove that the s2000 is a potent little car!
"What's the fastest thing you have ever beaten then?"
"A Lamborghini!"
I know, I know. It may be 34 years old, but it's still a Lamborghini
I just thought I'd share that.

The Miura was and still is a beautiful work of automotive art. For you kids who wouldn't know a Miura from a Miata, here's a pic (Keep in mind that this is an over 30-year-old design).

Muira's were styled by Bertone. They are wonderful cars and one of the first "supercars".
There were over 20 of these at the Concouro Italiano this past year. Quite a sight to see!
