Default MY03 vs Cobalt SS

* I dont race and think that it should be kept at the track *

Taking the lady friend around the country back roads when a Black Cobalt SS suddenly comes from no where and tails me. So I chill and make a turn onto a wide open road that's visible for 3-4 km's down the stretch and nobodys on it... he follows.

within 20 seconds of the turn he darts out to the other lane and I can hear his SC screaming, so I'm in 3rd around 500 rpm below vtec and punch it (he's at my rear wheel), by the time i'm hitting vtec he's on my side and just walking on me.

3rd gear to 9K and punch 4th, this SS just keeps walking on me without and hesitation.

I lost by 3 cars by the time I shut down. I'm almost postive the SS had a stage 3 upgrade, the SC was loud.

My Car --- Stock ---

The Cobalt SS comes with 240 from the factory if you buy the stage two. The cars are also underrated in the HP department. At least that is what the dynos have been saying.

bigger pulley, injectors, exhaust for the SS can make a big difference

other wise than that stock for stock you should pull

He had moumentum on his side, but you think I would gain ground on him towards the top of 3rd but no... it kept pulling like a train.

I shut down way to early since I have someone with me and trying to be a little repsonsible.

My friend has a similar setup (from factory, staged) and he takes new Mustang GT's without sweating it.

Either way I really enjoy the s2k since it's very well tuned (Intake, exhaust, cams, etc... ) from the factory. As we all know until you go FI/Change displacement you can't do too much power wise.

Even Hondata reflash on the '06 S2K say that it's very well tuned from Honda.
