MY08 CR vs 08 Mazdaspeed 3
Some time ago ran against a 2007-08 mazdaspeed 3 lowered with exhaust on the freeway and lost. Started in 2nd and ended at end of 4th. I was at his back bumper when we ended, but he was clearly pulling ahead top end.
Also some time ago ran against my buddy's 08 TL-S automatic and beat him bad multiple times from 2nd to 5th...like 3-4 car lengths every time.
Mods were:
hondata flashpro
aem air filter

That ms3 are turbo charge correct? I never raced one but I'm Assuming they're about the same the genesis 2.0T. I beat 2.0t with intake and I have I/e and not sure if I was flash or not.

The older Gencoupes are very slow!! The MS3 is a quick car from a roll. Especially if it has any mods. Being turbo they are easy to get to 300+whp with just a downpipe, fuel pump and a tune.

Alright...almost a year later, I raced another ms3 but newer model this time around. I was out on a desolate street near the freeway datalogging after uploading a new calibration on my flashpro (gernby tune). I had added a berk tp and 3" challenge usa exhaust that night. My vtec was now set at 3600 compared to 5300 on my previous stock tune. Right off the bat the car felt like it had tons more torque at the low end.
Anyway, on my way back home a newer model ms3 pulls up next to me at the light. It was lowered with exhaust. Sounded mean, either hfc or tp. Light turns green, we roll off slowly both go into 2nd. I try to pull up to him to get a signal but he begins to punch it. My nose was probably at his front fender/mirror when we both floor it. I pass him going into 3rd and now his nose was at my door. We go into 4th and I stay ahead with him maybe at my mirror. After half way through 4th we shut it down. I gotta say, the new tune definitely pulled me through with the win. Car feels night and day different with the new gernby tune.
