Nasty Lightning Vs S
This happened lastnight on my way home from work.
http://home.earthlink.net/~matchframe/images/
I never talked to the guy so don't know what he has done, but it's pretty dam fast if you ask me! And yes I was going...It's almost like he was toying with me at first, but then he saw I was right there so he steped down the rest of the way and just left me.
Im sitting there at first when we 1st started to go thinking...humm, I got this, he's not too quick, just really loud...then he really nails it and the really loud got really louder, and im like....oooooo, ok maybe not, as hes leaveing me like I shifted from 2nd to 4th!!
That thing was pretty nice!

Lightnings are S/C right? Like most other American cars, I wonder what kind of horsepower that thing will yield with just an exhaust, better yet a pulley?
Nice death for sure.

Yea those things are beasts. I thought I was gonna get into a tussle with one this past weekend but it never went down. I know not to ever go easy with one should my path cross one of them.

They don't run to bad for being near 5000 lbs...
I put a chip, 4 lb pulley, CAI and shift kit and ran 12.9's@108 on stock F1's...give me a cold night, I figure 12.6's@109-110. I went from 361 rwhp/433 rwtq to 408 rwhp/496 rwtq with those mods on 93 pump gas.
Exhaust gains are not much...I have seen some guys saying they got like 5rwhp...but with boosted engines, it could have been colder and made more boost on a different dyno day?
Word of advice...avoid Lightnings around 60 mph...drops to 2nd gear and full boost.
