Real street racing has nothing to do with cartoons at all. I've been baited into a few thousand myself. There are two kinds of people - those that know what they are doing and idiots. Most of the ones I have been involved in were back in the day on Mission Ave in Ontario one of the oldest and biggest street racing meccas in the world. Everyone there was a willing participant.
People can say all of the idiot things they want about how they have never ever broken a law ever and other smug lies, but the truth is there is nothing like competition. It's the cornerstone of everything it means to be human, whether it's beating another human or just setting a new record. It's the reason cars like the s2000 even exist.
There are people I know that street race that are reckless, they do not know when enough is enough and when the danger to themselves and others isn't just assumed by other people but tangible and evident. It's not really even a point of view. If you do anything in life you quickly realize other people that don't will make all kinds of false assumptions.
The problem comes down to the maturity of the individual, most street racers are young and dumb. But the guys that first came up with the 1/4 mile street race were all middle age enthusiasts.
I am not advocating street racing but I understand it.

i think these battles are recorded by well professional teams like the team Wahrp and Late Rise.they are more known as kanjo racers. every 'neibourhood' has its own team and the cars are built by them.they are street racing for more than 20 years in japan so you can call them experienced.i dont think that any amateur not having the skills would try this like drifting behind another car.furthermore accidents do happen and for them is like another week, month building, modifying their car in order to correct their mistakes.
