Since the temperature was in the 80's tonight, my girlfriend and I decided to go for a cruise in the S with the top down. We drove around the downtown area for a bit to get some froyo and was on our way home. We came to a stop light on a 2 laned street. This white guy in a Eclipse GT pulls up to me and starts revving. I looked at him and his gf like they was a joke and I wasn't in the mood to race him on the streets. He reved again trying to provoke me so I decided to make him look like a fool in front of his girl. The light turned green and I took him in first gear as soon as VTEC kicked in...by half a car length. When I was about to shift at 8000 RPM into second, my gf screams COP! There was a COP parked on the side of the road. So I slammed on my brakes and turned into a parking lot as soon as I zoomed past him and the Eclipse continued down the road....

I tried to look for him after I pulled out from the parking lot but I couldnt find him. So now I wanna know is....would I have easily gone faster than him?

Well he probably had NOS, you're lucky you didn't endanger your manifold when v-tec kicked in, yo. Plus, it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning. Also, Monica!

I was at a light next to a new Eclipse GT a few months ago. I glanced over and it was a woman 40ish years old. I didn't think she would want to run so I was just chillaxin. The light went green and she floored it. I wasn't even into first gear yet and she took off. I gunned it, caught up, and FLEW by her around 60ish mph. I was totally surprised. Yeah you would've stomped him, as I just have an AEM CAI

I've defeated what I believe was a newer Eclipse GT. It's probably because that thing needed Nos and was topping out around 140

Nah he definitely would've beat you. i bet he had enough NOS to blow himself up period.

Based only on the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times of any year S2000 and any year Eclipse, I think you would have won.
