There are so many variables. From a roll? Dig? Stock tune or custom tune? How well your car can hook. Knowing how to control the power. At 300whp the car is decently fast. I'm running a 75 shot of nitrous and have taken out SRT8s of all sorts. Newish camaro SS. Just depends. I have also gotten beat by some of those cars depending on drivers and mods.

for a little more money why not just go stage 2 and a good tune. you could be making 400+ then go pick on some cars. stage 1 is great. I have one. it definitely makes a difference.

Well,..... This is just one guys VERY rough calculations while considering the same question. The issue i ran into is that most manufacturers quote their power numbers at the flywheel, and it is hard to say what the given parasitic loss of a given transmission is.

Correct me if i am wrong, but i believe SOS stage 1 is supposed to give 350 or so at the wheels. If you ad 12% due to trans loss, that is around 390 horse at the flywheel. So again, lets assume you have 390hp (at flywheel) and the car weighs 2850lbs (perhaps on the high side). This nets a .1375 p/w ratio.

Car/Weight/Power(Flywheel)/Ratio

New Camaro SS - 4197lb - 426hp - .1015
New Mustang 5.0 - 3618lb - 420hp - .1160
BMW M5 - 4387lb - 552hp - .1258
Cadillac CTS-V - 4204lb - 556hp - .1322

New Camaro ZL1 - 4120lb - 580hp - .1408
New Mustang GT500 - 3850lb - 662hp - .1719

Again this doesnt calculate for modifications, their weight, and efficiency. Or the weight of the driver, skill, or a million other factors. It at least gives you an idea that a stage 1 will get you playing with most of the new V8's out there. Stage 2, and you can start playing with the high-end v8's out there.

Again, just my rough calculations and $.02.

It's 300whp or so, not 350.

A 300-350whp supercharge s2000 is pretty slow. It won't beat much. You be faster than stock evo, sti, 350/370z and most normally cars but not by much. A stock c7 corvette or even a bmw 335i with basic bolt one and a turn will rape you.
