stock 08 AP2 vs 13 Lexus GS Fsport
My buddy has a brand new GS F sport and he always loves to run it. He put an exhaust on it so idk what kind of power its running but he walked me hard multiple times lol. I need to start digging into the engine. exhaust and intake coming soon. hytech headers by the end of summer and hondata flash pro to tune it a bit.

I don't think him putting an exhaust would make a huge difference. Maybe you should change your driving style. According to these specs you should be either beating him or be about dead even.
2013 Lexus GS F sport specs
CURB WEIGHT 3825 lb (52/48%)
0-60 MPH 5.5 sec
QUARTER MILE 14.0 sec @ 100.9 mph

Hard to believe he beat you? And badly? Well, like the others said, no need to waste money on bolt on performance parts to gain hp... The car was actually built very well as far as exhaust/intake goes. The reason other cars get "big" gains from these aftermarket parts is because the original equipment was not designed for performance, like ours.
However, you could dump some cash into a well built diff to make it a bit quicker...or you could dump a ton of money into it and go forced induction. My latest build (turbo) makes 444whp and 335 ft. lbs of torque...and he would not have even been able to read my license plate I would have disappeared so quickly.

lol you guys are so quick to judge. Consider the fact that he has a paddle shift gearbox that shifts way faster than anyone can, not to mention the exhaust he has will actually probably add some power. I can drive my car just fine. We also were not going from a dig so that little tid bit of data goes out the window. No doubt I could benefit from an HPDE but my driving skills are just fine.

Is that V6 or the V8? I believe the 6 is the same engine as the IS350 and it's a nice motor with a great power band. I recently drove the new IS350 F sport and was extremely impressed. The interior is gorgeous and it's much better than the previous generations.

Stock s2 specs range from 'claimed' 0-60 5.7secs, but real world test was more like 6.2 secs. And quarter mile was 14.2.......why would he be beating him??? Unless the other guy messes up

Wow. Saying bolt ons and tune is a waste of money is pretty harsh. I see that a lot on this forum yet i have seen many dynos that prove otherwise. Yea you're not going to get 50 whp from i/h/e tune but i have seen 30whp+ improvments with this setup which isnt all too bad and i wouldnt call it throwing money down the drain.
