NNY S2k

Yesterday I stopped by the local Honda dealer and picked up a 04 S2K brochure. Looking at the photo's of the front/rear of the 04 I can't see the round covers for the tow hooks that are on the 00-03 bumpers. Is it the photos or did Honda make a change? Also I was wondering...seeing how the European/Japan 04 S2k's come with the old 9000 rpm motor, did they keep the old dash/tach?

The front tow hook cover appears to be square now.

Honda said they redesigned the instrument panel to shorten the distance between the rpm range and to put the redline in the center. I would imagine the dash would be the same for cars shipping with the 2.0 engine except the redline would be different.

There was mention here (and I don't know how accurate it was) that certain "target" countries (and markets) will continue to get the 2.0L engine but they have NO choice to get the 2.2.

THe more I see that new bumper and new front lip, the more I want it. I think I'm going to go for the swap with my S.

It would be interesting if the JDM and EDM cars retain the f20c, but get a new cluster. I would like to see it if they do.

It's been announced the UK, for example, will not be getting the 2.2 engine - in fact, it sounds like it may be a NA engine only. Whatever, it makes my 9k'er all that more rare.
