My 2001 has 295,487 miles on it, engine got replaced by previous owner engine has about 180k on it. But everything else is original to the car. Just changed the diff out yesterday because the whining noise was just to much. But is there any big maintenance I should do when I hit 300k? Thanks in advance.

I added your name to the list but please tell me if the previous owner was a member of S2KI.com. I don't want to count your car twice.
I currently have 351,000 miles and I had to replace the following original things since 300k:
Clutch
Idler pulley bearing
Tensioner pulley bearing
Alternator brushes (cheap preventative maintenance)
Starter (wasn't bad but did it anyway)
Fuel pump (wasn't bad but did it anyway)
Front hubs (bad wheel bearings)
Front brake caliper rebuild (just cleaned it up, no new parts)
Running light bulbs, license plate bulb
Most all other non-wear items are original except for a few windshields. However my front struts are getting bad so I'm going to replace the front struts and springs soon. The engine and tranny still run great.

Just curious if any of you high mileage s2ker's experiened the pinion nut coming loose on the differenial, resulting in vibration on acceleration. I find it very odd that this happened to me around 200,000 miles considering nut is a locking type nut. It happened after I got the car serviced for new diff mounts, so I wonder if it was sabotaged at the shop.

I was hoping to hit 200k in mine.
However engine gave up at 180,012 miles after a motorway trip in hot weather. The used oil started showing lead at 150k, so bearings were wearing and it sounds like I have spun a bearing.
2000 I have owned for 10 years. Clutch was done at 103k still going ok. This car was driven hard everyday with regular use of VTEC. Oil changed every 9k and always kept topped up. 5W-40 grade, Oil use was about 2500 miles per litre for first 5000 then it would increase a little towards end of drain
Sad times. But would look at keeping an eye on this and any start up knock after a long time sitting. Probably quite easy to change the big end bearings as preventative maintenance

I'm nowhere near this club lol. I'm sitting at 126 k km, so like, 75k miles ish? My Subaru is the higher mileage of my cars with 208k km though.

I'm approaching the 200,000 mark- never thought I'd be this excited to have a car with this many miles. I love it just as much as the first day I drove it, THAT is a spectacular feeling.

I just noticed this thread. Which is strange because my '01 has been creeping up on 200k for a while now (it's my DD).
Just passed 200,000 last week, I bought this about 2 years ago when it had 182,000 and have had to repair a few things on it since I purchased it.
Took of the horribly noisy Buddy club dual exhaust and replaced it with a stock system I found on C-list.
Replaced the Tein lowering springs with some OE springs a racing buddy of mine gave me.
The Teins were installed incorrectly anyway, front suspension had both a front & rear spring installed on either side. Same in the rear obviously.
The EPS sensor last year.
Radiator, also last year.
Starter, just after I bought it.
Rear bumper, it had an AP2 bumper on it when I got it, I preferred the AP1.
I am going to be selling it soon though, actually it is for sale, I just haven't posted an ad for it yet.

After 225,000 miles on my 2005 model, I finally have to get the clutch replaced. I'm bummed because I really wanted to get to 300,000, but unless changing the fluid makes a miracle difference, it's time. I knew those daily clutch dumps in the parking structure would one day catch up with me . . .

Is the AP1 rear bumper direct swap? I feel it does provide more feasible looking exhaust exiting aesthetics whether it be a single pipe, dual muffler, single muffler etc. The AP2 imo tends to favor the stock thick oval duals, anything else does not seem to fit those big moon cut mouse holes in an aesthetically pleasing manner...
I'm at 156k with ~12k miles per year. I hope to reach 300k and not have to change a thing until then, but given my driving style I may not make it that far hah
Peace of mind and good seeing other huge milers going on original motor. Drivers car indefinitely.

I just got my '00 with 232k on it. I know the previous owner mentioned s2ki, so I'll have to see if he has himself listed in here or not. As far as I know, it hasn't had anything major done. I just redid all of the fluids last weekend, and we have new rotors all the way around.
