195k Canadian car AP2V1

List of things I've replaced.

1. Plugs/Wires
2. Rotors/Pads
3. Rear Left Caliper Seized due to replacing Pads too late...Whoops
4. Tensioner Pulley Squeeking
5. Timing Chain Tensioner
6. DRL's Module went so I had to re-solder the module

Thats all I can think of... As you can see nothing major... Everything is still original!

Welcome to the forum! If you can find out the name he used that would be great. I don't want to have your car listed twice on this thread.

If someone charged you to change plug wires on a S2000, you got screwed.

He's not really responding any more. I think he was pretty sad to let it go.

floor mats have been replaced once. just got the stockers again. those are still in pretty good condition, though.
paint? not good! fading in several spots on the edges of the hood and trunk. front clip is in bad shape from bugs, rocks, etc. and some areas where paint is actually pealing off. It looks good from afar, but up close, it's far from good. At 204K, I'm happy with the condition it's in.

The top was replaced at about 165K and it already has a slice in it. not sure what caused it, but I'm not about to fork out another $2500 for another one! researching options to 'fix' it. rip stop tape didn't work too well because the hole is right where the bar comes to a rest under the top. I'm working on sewing up the slit, rip stop tape beneath and either sewing or adhesive spraying canvas over that to prevent the bar from ripping it off every time the top goes up.
Ive found you can use, from the inside, a small patch and gel super glue, this distributes the pressure and makes a somewhat hard spot that is more resistant to wear.

Just hit 200,000 miles yesterday on my '05. Got it with 98k miles, only think I've changed since (aside from routine maintenance) was the battery and tct.

Just passed 200K on my 03. Here's a list of maintenance items I have had to do.
Cam chain tensioner right after I got it with 130K on the clock (Thank you Billman!)
AC Compressor, also right after I got the car.
2 batteries
Brake pads all around
Plugs, twice
Cat and O2 sensor (Went to a highflow)
TPS (Also replaced MAP before figuring out it was the TPS, and cleaned entire intake system)
Had to weld the right rear muffler back on to the pipe twice.
Clutch master cylinder
Blew out the VTEC valve last week in a big way. 50 miles to the quart of oil!
Drivers door switch.

It's getting to the point it needs a top and a paint job. Suzuka Blue fades!

I hope this car lasts forever. There's nothing out there that makes me want to get rid of it. (At least, not that I can afford.)

I'd like to be added to list. Rolled over 200k a while back actually but hit this milestone today:

Since I track it every other month, I have done as much maintenance as I could.
- Valve adjustment at 192k miles
- All new valve cover gaskets at 192k miles
- New spark plugs at 192k miles
- new serpentine belt at 200k miles
- Inlinepro TCT at 200k miles
- New oil cooler hoses at 200k miles
- new upper and lower vtec solenoid gaskets at 200k miles
- air pump delete at 200k miles
- new diff mounts at 192k miles
- new engine mounts at 200k miles

I burn 1.5 quarts of oil in between every oil change which i dont think is too bad considering its an AP1, and I daily drive it 110 miles daily everyday. Doesnt leak a drop of oil though anywhere since replacing all gaskets. Next step is to replace all rubber bushings in car for a refresh

Outstanding! What type of oil do you use, and at what interval?
