Compression on the cylinders is 210-215 PSI. I also found out the engine was overhauled 25k miles ago with darton sleeves and 87mm pistons.

Does he have receipts for all of these parts and work? Who did the engine work?

Oh yes a book of receipts. Fleming Engine Service did the engine work and Slowmotion Motorsports (All in Ohio) did the turbo setup.

If the engine is good and only has 25k miles on it then couldnt I just remove the turbo if I cant fix it or dont want it? The pistons give it a 9.1:1 compression ratio so would that kill the performance of the car?

If you're confident the engine is healthy you'd still be ok if you have to put a few grand into tuning.

I am having a hard time getting an answer to my question about being able to remove the turbo and run the car with no boost. The engine was modified to have 9.1:1 compression so will this result in a watered down s2000 without boost?

Why would you buy a booster car with the plan to run it NA? Why not just buy a non boosted car?

Does that mean its a no go on running the car NA with 9.1:1 compression?
