The oil filter has been loose at some point. Doesn't look like it was leaking heavily though.
I don't like all that undercoating. Sometimes people hide stuff with it. I'm also kind of puzzled about the seemingly too clean area above the driver side motor mount. The grey looks a little different color than everything else around it. Might just be the angle. But make sure that driver side fender has the original vin tag (better yet, make sure all 10 are there).

I agree with all of the comments and add that there are better deals out there if you are patient. Today I put a deposit down on a 2000 GPW with 83k miles. The final price is $13k out the door. For the price I think you can do better.

If it has all original panels, I say very well done. Early white cars are rising.

The other side of the "wait for a better deal" argument is that if you get to a certain age waiting becomes a more significant sacrifice than it is for younger folks. Depending on your finances sometimes it makes sense to find a solid car in the general range you are looking for and just do it. Life is short.
