nice job. I remember when BadS2k first came up with this idea. I was going to build this about a year ago, but I'm too damn lazy...haha

I still use the original box the hardtop came in to store it in my garage

I finished mine last night. it saved me some cabbage - $45 in supplies vs high $300s for a Honda holder. Kept thinking Blue man group.... anyway it works very well, thinking of having a pint of silverstone made up at the auto paint store to match the top.

Nice job, SenseiRick. Do you have any trouble using the OEM cloth hardtop cover with the stand? I think I recall in the earlier thread from Bads2k that someone who tried this design was not able to use the OEM cover. Looks like you are not having any problem.

no problem with the cover........I put the top in the stand then slip on the cover from the top - drops straight down.....easy!

BadS2k made a good call using the plugs too. These screw ons allow you to balance out the stand on a sloped garage very well.

wow that is awesome, great setup man. I will do that if I get a hard top. Much better than paying hundreds for the oem stand.

they dug it from the grave.......still looks as good as the day I built it!

and looks 200 times better then the Honda one that costs $400 more.
