We could use a forum therapist.

I only had the car a month before putting it into storage and I'm already missing it! 5 more months to go
Problem is I'm compensating by buying parts online - could be an expensive winter!

Sometimes I chuckle when I think of how I can drive top down in California for 365 days out of the year, and seldom get a drop of water inside the cabin, barely cranking the heater.

And then I look at real estate prices and think... Yea, the rest of the country wins. I'll happily garage the S for winter for $500k-1m off a big house and some land

Grass is always greener folks!

... Where's that damn therapist already?

Storing the car sucks, but come spring it is like getting a brand new car! I've had mine for more than 13 years. It still has the original top and is in fantastic shape. If I lived where it could be driven year round, the car would be ready for replacement by now.

That said, winter depression is setting in and we don't even have snow yet.

I hear ya. Put mine away mid-October because we got some snow. Could have brought it back out, but I enjoy driving my Subaru as well so that does ease the pain. It's nice having torque lol.

You're totally right. Every spring I get to bring the S out and it's like I got a new car. When winter rolls around, I get to drive my Subaru, like I'm getting a new car. Constantly changing is actually kind of nice, and I really love both of them.

I stored mine every winter for the seven years I had it. 160 days was my longest streak during the polar vortex. Some deprivation can go a long way toward developing a real appreciation for something. At the least, it gave me something to look forward to during the cold months. Fond memories of those first Spring drives with lingering melting snow:
