Front License Plate ticket...

I don't have mine on the front bumper here in CA. Haven't had one on any of my cars for the last 30 years. Have gotten about 4-5 tics for it. All fix its.
The point about having a plate flying around inside your car when in an accident is valid. It'll slice your fricken throat!

Long ago, had a friend who got constantly stopped for no front tag on his Europa, always (100%) got out of it. "Yessir, I'm tryin' to take care of it, have a tag bracket on order but those British keep on backordering it".
I don't think you could pull that off w/a Honda.
Fight it but don't be surprised if you lose.

Driving 6 hours to fight a $150 non-points ticket may not be worth it. It'll cost you ~$80 in gas, waste 13 hours of your time (driving and court). Works out to be about $5/hr. If you want to visit your family, do it on a time of your choosing, not the court's choosing.
Either way, good luck and thanks for serving...

Like others said, it depends on the state.
1)NY, it's not a fix it ticket. You get the ticket, you pay it. You put the plate on, no more tickets, you leave it off, you get another ticket.
2)In NY, the law is the plate has to be visible from the front of the vehicle from 10 feet away, and be no more than 36" from the ground. The s2000 dashboard is 34" from the ground, and the plate can be seen from 10 feet away. I have gotten the ticket before, and won in court because of this.
