Default tow hook cover suddenly disapeared! what to do?

5 days ago the cover for the tow hook came of magicly and it is nowhere to be found...!
the rear bumper now looks very busy(if not ugly) with the missing cover
i went to the dealers to preform the 7.5k miles on the car and asked them on the cover....they said its not available in stock, so we will oreder a set of covers...
i asked when they will arrive , and they said 2-3 months!!!
damn! i cant wait 2-3 months with my car looking like this!
can i do anything to fix this even if it is temperory..? (no, i wont steal from the kuwaits2000 group!
anythoughts?

You should probably put the tow hook in so nothing gets in the threads and also so it does not get rusted out...

I say masking tape it heh.
Marker up the masking tape to the color as close as possible.

Could it be that it simply fell off somewhere and you didn't notice until a while after it fell off? I've seen many of these threads, and that's generally the case. Spent the $5 or whatever it costs to get another one put on from your dealer, no biggie.
