Seat Belt Chime Defeat
Tried to search for this one, but nothing came up...
Anyone know how to defeat the warning that tells you to put your seatbelt on when you start up the S2000?
In my former 2006 Bubaru STi, you turned the ignition to on without starting the car, inserted the seatbelt in and out 20 times in less than 20 seconds, turned the car off, and then started the vehicle.
When I read this set of instructions, I was sure some donkey was trying to get despirate people like me to give this ridiculous sequence a try. But BINGO it worked. Not only did the chime not come on, but the light on the dashboard, came on for 3 seconds and then went out for the remainder of the drive. (previously the light and chime were relentless)
After disconnecting the battery, the chime came back and the sequence had to be repeated. I also tried only inserting the belt ~10 times and it did not work. You needed at least 20 insertions.
For all of you who don't believe me, and are lucky enough to have an STi, go ahead and give it a try. I am convinced there is such a code for all vehicles and I am determined to find the one for the S2K.

Wow, that's insane that it works like than on an STi. OP, do you normally wear an Iron Man suit when you drive or something?
What I would like is a way to not have to turn up the brightness of the dash every time I turn the lights on.
