Car will crank but not start
hey guys I have a 2001 s2000 we rebuilt the motor two weeks ago because of a spun bearing. We double and triple check the the timing. The head was taken to a shop and the whole thing was inspected before installation. we triple checked all vacuum lines and coolent lines as well.
once the car was done it had problems idling but would start right up. It would die when I came to a stop ever 3rd or 4th time I came to a stoplight. I drove it very carefully to work one day to make sure the car was running ok(other than the idle issue.)The idling problem started getting worse to a point that every time the car came to a stop the car would die. It died When I pulled into the parking lot at work and the car wouldn't start. Me and my friends managed to push start the car but that is the only way to get it to start.
i got a new battery and alternator, I've cleaned the injectors, and I've checked the plugs for spark but not the packs yet. (Im going to do that tonight). I have also pulled the fuse for the backup lights to reset the immobilizer just in case but that also didn't fix the problem. I'm not sure what else to do with this. When we push started the car just to get it home I read a code for manufacturer ignition system/misfire.
i really need help with this, fuel pump is clicking on. When I try to start it for a while I can smell fuel so I'm assuming that all of that is working good. Any other suggestions?? Other then maybe one of the packs being bad cause a hard idle im not sure what else it could be but I'd assume it's some sort of electrical issue

So there are the 2 on the drivers side and then the one on the back of the head right? I've checked all 3 and they are good. I now have 4 new coil packs and that didn't fix it either any other ideas??
