You're going to remove the exhaust system? This is a joke, right? If it is, I'm dumping this thread real soon.

I don't know about where you live, but in almost all places, having no exhaust would be illegal and it's not something you can hide. Those few HP (assuming the S2000 would respond the same way to no exhaust) is not worth having every cop within a 1 miles radius come looking for you, nor is it worth having everyone you pass by phone to have the rest of the cops in the city head your way.
And it is not something that you can just unbolt and leave on the ground at the race track and easily put back on for the drive home.

I had unbolted my exhaust on the Celica too. He doesn't mean unbolting from the cat. He is talking about unbolting the muffler. Unfortunatley with an S2000 the exhaust is all one piece you cannot unbolt the muffler unless you had an aftermarket unit. And yes unbolting the exhaust on the Celica did add a lot of power but its not any louder then the single cat back exhausts we have for the S.

From his first post, it's hard to tell what he's talking about.

i unbolted the 60lbs exhaust system and ran at the track of 14.5 compared to 14.6 with just intake. you will lose a lot of back pressure, its not worth unbolting..

The S2000 is one of the few cars made that is already making all the power it is capable of....any exhaust parts removed will not help, and may actually give you less power
