Pulled it apart today, it indeed spun a rod bearing. Crank looks alright, no gouges or anything, going to polish it and see what it looks like. Block looks good, pistons are in good shape, head looks great. If i need to put a crank in I am thinking of doing the 2.4 stoker. Going to clean everything up tomorrow, get all the old gaskets cleaned off. The intake ports are pretty decent, a few rough spots that can be cleaned up nicely, probably a little bowl work around valve seats and it will be good to go. I grew up riding honda dirt bikes and this engine is very similar to my crf450 engine so it was quick, took a little over 2 hours to tear down. About 10 minutes of it was wrestling the damn thing into the engine stand, this thing it heavier than it looks haha
