Default Question about clutch master cylinder

Why and the hell does the fluid get so dirty so fast? Understandably i may need to change the cmc as it's 10 years old now, but if i bleed it, i suck the old dirty fluid out, and put fresh fluid, then suck that out after stirring it a bit so the fluid being bled through is extremely clean. I did that, and it stays clean for... oh i don't know... a day. and after only 1 week the notchy shifting returns along with black fluid.

Should i just change the thing or what? I mean its' only like 67 bucks.

Also just a little addendum, the bastards that put my rear tires on only put 29 psi in them.

so i put them up to 34 psi... and now the damn car doesn't wiggle anymore when cornering. God that was annoying. I figured they'd have put at least 32-34 psi in them... but they didn't...

But anyways, yeah, the cmc dirties the fluid. I heard it dirties it fast. But in less than a week i start grinding 2nd gear again on a fast shift. and other gears start getting notchy. So it's definitely the fluid getting dirty.

I'd look into the slave cylinder as well.Dirty fluid is the mortal enemy of hydraulic plungers and cylinders.

Yeah i know it's bad, but i've cleaned it quite a bit, and it just comes back very fast.

Yup.Sounds like you got some corrosion going on in there and once it starts it's hard to stop without replacing parts.

yupp..just the slave is bad now.. i think it may have been bad from day one.

order it was done to clarify.

installed new clutch, flywheel,PP,TOB,slave, and line to slave about 3 months ago..since i did the install i never had real smooth shifts.. bleed it like 5 times. work get better then slowly get worse. was told to check to CMC about a week ago.. it was leaking black grease. replaced that. rebleed 3 times.. and still not gettin a smooth shift and sometimes hard to get into 1st and reverse.

( sorry for the thread jack)

Hmmmmmm. That's not very encouraging. I'm wondering if the factory didn't have some trash or cosmoline crap all over the internals.Did you actually hold these new parts or were they dealer installed sight unseen?Just curious.
