I've just had the problem checked out and I need new drop links for the anti roll bar, I'll post in here if that actually sorts the problem because it seems this happens to a lot of people! They had completely dried out and were starting to wear away.

reviving this...

could it be the gas filler tube hitting the body work? i have this same issue and checked EVDERYTHING and its nothing under the car that i can tell. I was trying to think bout what is asymmetrical inside the car. Gas filler tube is all i can think of.

Just picked up my s2000 and I have the same issue. Knocking noise from behind the drivers side , suggesting it has something to do with the suspension. The guy I bought it off mentioned it had skunk 2 lowering springs exactly as you said. Did the new drop links work? I can see this noise is going to do my nut in.

so i fixed my issue. it turns out the rear left side shock was blown. the dust boot didnt let the oil run down the shock body. what did run down had been washed away by me when i hosed out the suspension. It was only when i pulled the dust boot up (soft portion) that i was able to see the leaking oil. there was also oil on the top of the body.

I got the same issue after changing out my diff mounts to innovative 60a diff mounts.
I will be checking out my suspension again soon, never had this problem before even after my OEM diff mount started leaking.

I had a similar problem, at my Honda mechanics recommendation he removed the axles, cleaned them and freshly lubed them and installed new axle nuts. No noise since.
