I got everything back together and fired her up today. She now runs nicely without any unusual noises. I kept it under 3,000 RPM until it was at operating temperature and made sure the heat got hot. After that, I drove about 2 miles and mostly kept the RPMs below 4,000 but I did hit 5K once. Once I got home, I pulled the fuel pump fuse and ran a compression test now that it was hot.

Compression is down in all 3 good cylinders and up in cylinder #1. They still aren't even -- cylinder #1 still being low. I tested in this order:

2: 215
3: 215
4: 215
1: 195
1: 195
3: 215

The numbers at the start of this thread were around 230 psi for 2, 3, and 4 and 170 psi for 1.
