My Misfire Code Progress
My car has code P1399 misfiring on all cylinders, so first thing I do today is change the Spark plugs with NGK 7772 plugs. Cleared the CEL and the code is still stored on the car. During the install, coils 1-3 had what seemed to be corrosion on them while coil #4 was the cleanest. I recorded everything and you can see it in my video I'll link below. Next step to replace Coils??

So I'm going to replace my Coils next, Can you put 04-05 Coils in our AP1s? The price difference is $55/ea for the AP2 vs $110/ea AP1. Looking to buy them Monday morning and install, feedback on the differences will help! Much appreciated and on to the next step to clear this damn CEL

Pro-tip: If you go to Autozone and open the box of their 2004-2005 coil pack, IF it has a "Denso" or "Made in Japan" sticker on the bottom, it's 100% OEM. I found about 50/50 of the coil packs at Autozone were OEM, so I picked the ones I wanted (obviously the made in Japan).

2004-2005 coil packs also work for 2000-2003 cars. The 2004-2005 coil pack is also 50% cheaper than the 2000-2003 coil packs at around $40-50/each.

Coils are pricey from when i checked a couple of years. Before anything, get your injectors professionally cleaned. My misfire cel was from dirty ass injectors. I spent a LOT of time and a LOT of money chasing the misfire around when it was a 50 dollar fix lol. Went from valves to plugs, to coilpacks, to injectors. Wish I just started with injectors its about 12 dollars a piece.
If you used some kinda fuel cleaner and your started to get misfires I can almost guarantee you its clogged injectors. It breaks down gunk and sends them right to the injectors to get clogged lmfao.

So I put 4 new 2005 AP2 Denso coils in, cleared the CEL and drove for about 30 mins and the light stayed off. Turned off the car for an hour, drive to the gym and it comes back on
