Oil temp & pressure data to ECU?

Oil temp & pressure data to ECU?
Hi I have a question. We all know that a much desired missing feature on the S is the display of oil temp and pressure, and many aftermarket solutions have been developed like additional gauges or displays mounted on different places.
My question is, I believe that oil temp and pressure belong to the standard list of OBD2 protocol parameters, it's just that the S2000 did not include them as OEM spec. So my question is, instead of installing the sensors and feeding their voltage directly to some gauge or display, is it possible to connect the sensors directly to the ECU to feed it with the oil temp and pressure data? Because if so, then one can simply display them on the smartphone with any OBD2 interface and app fed from the ECU, without needing any additional gauges or displays.

AEM doesn't support OBD at all, Hondata does but I don't think you can get the additional sensor data through that.
You might want to check this link https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-en...eview-1169157/
Or get something like this MultiGauge Link for Smartphone Interface with PLX Devices Sensor Modules

The OBD2 port can only send data for which there are sensors. You would have to add sensors to supplement those already on the car and wire them to whatever gauge you select. Pretty sure the oil pressure sensor we have is 1/0 (on/off) but at least there's a port to detect it.
This OBD2 gauge (below) has been on the dash of my Ford Expedition for 10 years specifically to display transmission data when I'm towing. It will also display cylinder head temperature and other information that's on the buss. But oil pressure and oil temp are not on the Ford buss (and probably not on the Honda buss) so there's provisions for sensors to be directly attached to the gauge. No need to access the ECU to add functions to a gauge like this, just add sensors. The software in the gauge needs to be there. This gauge was customized by the manufacturer (two guys in a garage using my truck to capture the settings) so it can also display transmission slip.
This gauge has alarm LEDs which can be set if a particular parameter exceeds what you think is a safe level.

Thanks. The PLX multigauge link for smartphone is interesting but I see it only works with the AFR and Vac/Boost sensors, not for oil pressure, temp or any other sensors, that's a shame
