Rebuilt Engine Won't Start
Hey guys! So my S2000 was parked for 9 months in 2016 due to a thrust bearing failure in March. I disassembled the engine and put it back together. When I try to start it, it tries to crank really slowly for like 1 or 2 seconds, then dies. At the same time I press the Start the dash goes black. It kept doing this until the starter broke. After it broke the engine would not try to turn, the starter would just whine. So I bought and put a new starter but still no luck. Even with the new starter it won't turn on. It does the same thing where it tries to crank really slowly and vaguely for a few seconds then dies. Battery voltage is 12.1 volts. (When I press the start with the spark plugs disconnected everything seems to run fine.) Please help, I need this car running ASAP for school. Thanks a lot!

When you fixed the thrust bearing, did the crank turn easily? Were the tolerance within specs?
Thanks!
Thanks!
