I see those ditches all the time in the Netherlands. Sure enough, I see the emergency call superimposed there. Trying to avoid sheep?

Glad it was shallow and you are okay. Be sure there is no water at all in the air intake before trying to crank.

Thanks for all the advice and support guys, It was awfull i thought i was going to die when the water came into the car. Because I had no idea how deep the ditch was. The windows wouldn't open and the right door neither. Then the guy driving behind me saved me by opening the left door which wasnt stuck. I had the car for 4 weeks. 4 WEEKS. It was on a straight and because the road was wet and there was dirt on it aswell i pulled a mustang, and i lost control.

Im gonna tow it to my brothers garage and hes gonna have a look at it for me, hes a mechanic. Will keep yall updated :#

Glad to hear you're OK. Props to the guy who saved you, I don't know if I could even react like him in that situation.

To me, 4 weeks is too short of a time to really get to know a S2K. I've had mine for 5 years, yet I still get surprises.

Jeez wondering what caused you to do that. Good to hear ur ok. If the motor was shut off 5-10 seconds after upside down, it should be ok. I don't know if ate water though. Open spark plug hole and crank my hand to see the water gush out or not.

The engine is easily saveable. But you have to act fast before corrosion sets in.

In looking at the photos again, wondering why the car flipped, I see that those ditches seem to be designed to flip cars that slide down towards them.

There is slippery downhill grass, then at the end there is a short retaining wall that protrudes up just enough to catch the wheels and knock them out from under you, flipping your car. If you hit them sideways, you're toast. If they can flip an S, most other more top heavy cars would be even easier to flip.

You can see in the photos the S slide down sideways, hit that little wall, amd over it went upside down.

Aweful design those ditches seem to be...

Not just the water that you have to worry about. Any muck, sediment or sand that was stirred up will settle/trap in every place possible if the intake was submerged . If the car is totaled and the motor didn't hydro lock and bend shit, I think I would prevent rust like mentioned above asap then pull it or at least take it down to the short block and go through cleaning everything. Glade to hear your OK.

Being Holland I was thinking brackish myself. But it may be the least of his worries if he hasn't got the water out of the engine.
