Your problem may not be tct related. Pull the valve cover and inspect the upper end and chain.

Yeah, how did you spun your rod bearings? Was it due to low oil?

I would assume it was from the previous owner not keeping up on general maintenance. I only drove it for 200 miles when I got it and that problem happened. Low oil was the culprit and it just happened to decide to go when I was hitting 120 lol.

I bought the car for $5,000 so I expected some problems to be present. Bad clutch and maybe rear diff going? (loud whirring noise from 45mph to 60mph) spun rod bearing was a little unexpected haha.

sorry this happened. always gotta know what the oil level is for s2000's especially ap1, any high compression engine for that matter, or any car that you just purchased used, or had service done. these cars should have come with oil level monitors.

Oh man, I wish, lol. It's definitely unfortunate, but the car will be done in a few weeks. Can't wait to eat lunch at work again, lmao.

what is considered low in these engines??? I checked mine today, it was about 3/4 up the hash marks on the stick... should I add 1/4 quart? or are people driving these cars without the stick reading its so low??
