Whining Noise from AP1 engine bay!

well, the lube made the noise go away, so i replaced the pulley.

fingers-crossed for the belt.

The belt will be fine. WD40 mostly evaporates after it dries, any residual will eventually get spun/cooked off. Good diagnosing

Update: Noise mysteriously went away, hasn't come back yet. Couldn't get the noise to come back to try running without belt as suggested.
Got a feeling it's to do with the AC as it happened on a hot string of days down here in Melbourne, with the AC on full blast. Doing a service this week and will have another proper look! thanks for all the advice guys!
