Last Friday we had our master bath counter and sinks replaced.
Tonight I swung by home despot on the way home and picked up the PVC joints to plumb in the drains and get it all working.
( some folks would have done this on the weekend, but well, there was football.)
Trial fit the first sink, get my pvc cement and cleaner, grab the plumbers dope to seal the drains... What!!!?? WTF where is the plumbers dope....
well not getting that done tonight.

Since I have blasted Comcast here, I will give them credit as well. After our move, my remote stopped doing some of its functions. No more on/off of the TV, volume control or mute. The rest of it worked ok, like channel change. Tried to fix it myself, like pairing it to my TV. No go. Thought it might be the remote, so I took traded it for a brand new one at the Comcast shop nearby. Same problem. So I called support today, thinking I would be on the phone for hours talking to someone on the other side of the planet. Nope. Got a guy with no waiting, who spoke like I do, he gave me a code different than the ones I tried and had it working in less than 3 minutes after I dialed. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I have to give Comcast tech support a much better rating than I ever could give to Verzion.

I helped square away an issue for my son at his house and the tech guy was very helpful. I had one issue after we got the smart TV's and again they were most helpful.

The techs that do the in home service are pretty smart. We had an issue with the phone line. Checked every phone, the lines going to the phone, the power, etc. Could not get them to work. The very smart guy found a disconnection at the jack in the TV room, which is near the modem. Imagine our embarrassment at missing that one. Thankfully, Rick was the one at home. I did not fuss over the $50.00 service charge on the next bill.

My wonderful bride called me into the kitchen since she couldn;t figure out what the buzzing noise was....

I heard it and realized it was from the basement. Hmmmm
So I go down and I'm looking around and oh gee it from the septic pump alarm... sonafa*&^$%
Our leach field is uphill from our septic tank. Two pumps handle the chore of moving "it."
A controller handles the task of selecting one pump then the other. Floats in the holding tank trigger the controller to turn on and turn off.
The alarm is wired to the top float. if it goes off there's hell to pay.
or more precisely, first there's getting the septic tanks pumped and then there bringing in the pump and controller guys....
oh and try not to flush to much until it gets fixed. and no showers either.

Only lived in one house for a short period with a septic. Had to pay someone to pump it out, as I recall. Hope yours gets fixed soon.

Jerry is one of the pumps/controllers broken, or is there other more unpleasant issues.

We have septic where we live. No pumping uphill though. In our house ###$$$ rolls down hill, or something like that.

Mine is the opposite. I put in a big 1750 gallon tank when I built the house. Leach field is downhill, no pumps. I pump it out ( $250) every 5-7 years. Next door neighbor owns his plumbing business. Gives me the good neighbor discount.

I may have figured out the problem.
it may be swelling of my wallet caused by excess cash, looks like we'll solve that issue pretty quickly.
