I bought tickets to see Post Modern Jukebox at the Rochester Jazz Fest in June. I've wanted to see them for a long time.

The AC/DC band was really, really good and really, really LOUD, as expected. My earplugs came in very handy. I would not have lasted two minutes in there without them. I'm amazed that the +1 and a friend who was with us did not wear them.

The band members were from all over - Dallas, LA, Seattle, Stockholm - and the lead from Little Rock, Arkansas! That struck me as funny.

There are other tribute shows coming up at the same venue (a restored historic movie theater in Falls Church) - Fleetwood Mac, Guns n Roses, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen. It's a very place.

Went to my first concert in many years tonight.
Saw The Chieftains in a nice small theater style arrangement, maybe 450 -500 folks in attendance.
The sound guy deserves a medal, he must have sat in my chair when he was setting up the sound.
perfect volume, not blaring but loud enough to hear well.

Liz and I just saw "MIllion Dollar Quartet" at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. An excellent show and an excellent production. Loved every minute of it. The actors played their parts perfectly and the music, yes the music, was great. Today was the second to last show in the month long run at the Paper Mill. If it was here longer, I'd want to see it again.

We are going at the end of May out to Round Hill VA for a bluegrass jam. Should be great. I love bluegrass music. Been wanting to go down to Galax VA (southwestern part of the state) for a long time but haven't made it. Big bluegrass festival there.

I wanted to get tickets to see Barbra Streisand at Brooklyn's Barclay Center on May 6th, but that's the same weekend as Spring Fling. Too bad, I love Barbara Streisand but we're committed to Spring Fling.

We saw the same show on our cruise last week, and it, too, was an excellent production. Everything Rob said about the show he saw was true about ours.

The King and I was great! Production, singing, everything. The +1 loves musicals and really enjoyed it. Neither one of us had ever seen it onstage.
