What is everyone's take on the "D" racing inspired steering wheel? All the new performance cars seem to come with them and it doesn't take much to get used to it. I personally find the flat bottom nice when making sharp turns. However, some think it is pointless and a fad. It looks like Euroboutique makes really nice D steering wheels for the S. Thoughts?

I do have the AMG D wheel in my E550.
It does make sliding in and out easier.
Otherwise it is unremarkable when using the car.
To be honest I had to go double check to make sure it wasn't a figment of my imagination.

The D shaped wheel adds 20 hp to any car and the letter D to your vocabulary.

Personally, I prefer the "D" Steering Wheel. It does seem to make steering inputs a bit easier, especially in fast transitions.
Went from a round wheel to a Flat-Bottom with the Corvette and it made a nice difference. Not stupendous, but a nice refinement.

1972 Maserati Boomerang has to have one of the oddest steering wheels.
Or maybe the 1962 Chrysler New Yorker?

Flat bottom usually for leg clearance for taller ppl like me and easier to heal toe. Flat top/ cut top is usually so u can see ur rpm screen. It's a pain to correct your mistakes when spin out because square is not natural to spin in a circle lol.
