I don't like him without dreadlocks either. I think he's another one that the lifeguard needs to kick out of the gene pool.

These three movies were an impressive achievement (and they got Peter Jackson enough clout to be able to do a re-re-make of King Kong, yet)
I've seen a couple of the KK trailers and so far I haven't been impressed with some of the special effects that I saw. Whether those will be improved during editing or not, I'm still looking forward to seeing it.

I am kind of looking forward to seeing Memoirs of a Geisha adaptation. When I read that book a few years ago, it really made me more aware of a woman's life though in different cultural & time setting. I just wondered.

But the LOTR movie trilogy, IMO, relies too much on video-game like action for too much of the time. I'd rather have seen more one-on-one scenes -- more of the Ents, for example. And I think Jackson missed the boat (so to speak) with the ending of the third installment by neglecting the potential of the "Scouring of the Shire" part of the book. The two side-kick Hobbits kicking serious butt would have been lots of fun. HPH
Agreed...I enjoyed the book more also and cannot think of a movie that I enjoyed more than the book.

I find that interesting (book>movie)...I think it has something to do with your mind building mental images of the story line/characters.

When I said LOTR was probably the best sequel series yet, I am comparing it to some of the most popular. SW I-VI was discussed, The Matrix (first one was good because the concept was so different, II and III got progressively worse). Batman - bad, bad, worse , worse...etc. Rocky I - good, the rest should never have been made. Harry Potter - I actually did not like any of them. Superman - same....

Only one sequel comes to mind that I enjoyed more that the original...Spiderman II.

"March of the Penguins" was fabulous.
I just watched that on Friday night. I really enjoyed it - but I enjoy most docs.

Did you watch the bonus? I think it was called "Of Penguins and Men" or something like that...it was very good and was about the guys that shot the film.

We were going to go for a drive today, and meet up with the Raptor and see his new 2006 Laguna Blue S, but it's very windy and we'd be dodging tumbleweeds larger than our cars.

So, we're going to go see Walk the Line. The reviews have been very postive.

We liked Walk the Line. It's the movie about Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. I won't be buying it but it was good.

I was watching Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy for about 15 minutes and had to give up. I should have given it more chance but I just couldn't hang with this one.
