Default Garage door upgrade

My wife has been after me to install a new garage door, even though the one I have is perfectly fine. The wife is more into "curb appeal" than I am. I found this link: Garage Door Accents, Carriage House Garage Doors |Coach House Accents and installed it on my existing door. It looks great! <$250. all hardware. Just thought I'd pass it on if your interested in making your door more attractive from the street.

These Coach House window panels / hardware are installed on your existing door. If you were to purchase a door like this, from Pella ie, it would be over $3K. I have a double door.

Those look just like the doors on our new house. I assumed the windows were real but now I will have to ask.

The curb appeal part isn't that much of a big deal for me, no one can see them anyways.
I've thought about replacing the doors but for functional reasons.
I'd love to put really slick quiet polyurethane rollers on instead of the metal rollers which squeak and make noise.

Curb appeal?

If anyone other than a garage door salesman drives by a house and says "Nice garage door!" the owner has blown it. You want folks to drive by and say "Nice house!" Same for landscaping, etc.

Having good looking garage doors makes a huge impact on how a house looks. A new family moved into our sub in a house with three garage doors. They changed the doors to look like the first ones shown in your link. Wow, did it make the house "pop". I was expressing that to their next door neighbor and he told me what they got was like wallpaper from Lowes that went onto the existing doors. I can't imagine how that would hold up with Michigan winters. As for our garage door on the house - its 50 years old so I guess I'm not worried about the Wow factor.

Just installed the panels yesterday and already had two neighbors complimenting me on the doors. Not sure how they will hold up, but for the price I can't go wrong.
