I know you are not Wings fans but this is a great read, yea it’s a little long, but if you want to know about a defining moment for the Red Wings just 20 years ago you have to read it because it’s the start of their Stanley Cup runs in the modern era.

Funny, Wings and Avs played tonight and showed lots of the 'old time hockey' tapes . . . really sad to see them both be in last place but runs do not last for ever.

My BRUINS are hanging by a thread onto the last wildcard spot in our conference.

We tried to help out Monday by holding the Caines to one point but since we played three back-to-back games due to a schedule issue earlier we ran out of gas tonight and gave the Caines two more points to chase you.

Paul, do you still have any finger nails left? Wings played IMHO one of their better games tonight against the Bolts but were out muscled on the boards and in the gritty plays. So we were not able to help Boston. We really need a couple tough - really tough - guys in the lineup next year!

Dave...... Fingernails OK. [ Mother told me I'd get worms if I did that when I was about 4 years old and THAT stopped THAT.....!!!!
On the other hand my bottle of scotch has been taking semi-serious hits.

Hope, as they say: "Springs Eternal"..... we're still hanging on to the last wildcard spot-3 points ahead of the BOLTS- and only 1 point in back of the LEAFS for 3rd place in the division.
Team's been looking good the last three games and our goalie finally playing well after a few bad games before that.

5 Games left and 4 look tough: BOLTS; BLACKHAWKS, SENATORS and CAPITALS......

HABS and CAPS are in.
But was sorry to read the other day that the WINGS 25 year playoff run was officially over.
