Brad Wight's Pinnacle System Wave rotors for front brakes
They finally arrived and I am blown away. These are the wave rotors Brad will be making for the front brakes on his system. To look at them, you'd wonder how the car would stop, but Brad assures me they work
These are designed for racing on tracks with long straights that allow sustained cooling of the rotor. They weigh only 6 pounds each (that's at least about a 10 lb per wheel saving over stock) and will therefore provide a major reduction in unsprung weight.
Here are a few photos.
First, both sides.

The only problem with these rotors is about a 10% increase in pad wear . I would not recommend these rotors for people doing track days on road courses . These will work fine for auto cross , street applications , drag racing and certain other racing ( oval track!).

Since brake discs operate as heat sinks for the friction between the pads and the discs, cutting the weight to a third would really lower the capacity of these discs in a track environment. These sure look uber-cool though, and the weight savings may be very enticing to the autocross enthusiast... A compelling and ballsy design to say the least.
