Default SC S2K vs Turbo ITR...

I got romped by this Turbo ITR running 14 PSI. He got 3-4 car lengths 60-130.

I wouldn't feel too bad about that. With a setup like that he can probably take the majority of cars from a stoplight.

WM,

Nice try though. Racing a turbo ITR must be alot like racing a ............ turbo S2K. And at 1 bar that's not a good proposition.

Is he running 12's I wonder?

Good run Wes. To me 3-4 car lengths is doing pretty good from 60 -130.(Against that type of power) That must have been one hell of an integra. A type R at 14psi should be close to 400 rwhp. You win some you lose some, but I am sure it is always fun.

He told us that he only dyno'd at 300 RWHP, but no one believed that. Something had to be wrong with that dyno, he probably pushed 320-340.

yea, 300 sounds right. 400 rwhp is a bit too much. I saw a turbo gsr get dynoed that's pushing 270 rwhp

As you may have seen from Derryk's (sp) dyno, a turbo s2000 can have lots more torque and a wider powerband than an sc car. More parts of the powerband are getting useful amounts of boost more of the time and under more driving conditions. I don't think it's wise to look at it as just one point (peak HP) on a dyno chart. The area under the curve matters. I think that you could get a turbo s2k to run the same acceleration times as an SC S2k and yet put down lower peak HP. And much better below vtec in-gear times.
