2nd Annual Southern Indiana (Brown County) Run on June 21st
Hi Upper Mid-West S2kr's,
Here is the skinny for the run tomorrow... (june 21st)
HANDOUTS & CELL PHONES:
Will everyone that is comfortable giving their cell phone numbers out PLEASE pm me your cell phone number and your real name. I will type them up and hand them out, along with the maps, to everyone at the beginning of the run.
WHEN DOES IT START:
10AM IndianapolisTime/ Central Time - Meet & Greet for those who want to visit before we start driving at 11:00
11AM Indianapolis Time - Central Time Zone, to every buddy except us unfortanute few who don't change time with day light savings. EST/CDT.
Starting at 11AM should put us in Bloomington around 12 to 12:30PM and we can get lunch at the College Mall where there are plenty of places to eat.
WHERE WE ARE MEETING:
We can meet at the Greenwood Mall parking lot on the south side of the lot by the watertower. I will be between Chi Chi's and Best Buys, look for the red S2000. It would be nice to plan on getting there a bit early, so that we can all chat for a bit before the drive, take pictures, etc. I will be there about 10AM.
ROUTE PLAN:
Thunderchicken has made awesome detailed maps for us. I have printed out a copy for everyone. Here is the url link for the Map: http://www.fooltothink.com/s2k/621s2k.doc
The route in the next post in this thread is OFFICIAL- The route will be like last year with a new section added for a little longer drive. We will start from the mall on Fry Road west to SR-135. Drive south to SR-44, west to SR-37. South to SR-252, then east to SR-135 (Morgantown). South on SR-135 to Beanblossom, then west on SR-45 to Bloomington. Take the bypass to College Mall and eat lunch. Head east on SR-46 to Nashville and take SR-135 south to SR-58 (Freetown). From Freetown northeast on SR-58 to I-65, the end of the drive.
SPEED:
Lets have fun, but several folks have mentioned their concerns for the safety. The lead car will be slowing down occasionally, so there shouldn

Hi Rad }}==D
Always glad to have new owners in the area. I met a gentelman S2K owner at the Meijer's parking lot and he gave me his E-mail and phone, I'll let him know about the run to Brown county.
I need to hook him up with this forum.

Hey, I used to live in Indianapolis. I remember once when I went to the state park in Brown County that when I got the S to the top of a big hill and crested at 20 mph and put the car in neutral the natural hills of the road carried my car at near constant speed through most of the park. It was really cool!
