I'm Fat; 2017
I need to get in the right frame of mind, so I thought I'd start this thread a bit early. My effort will begin on January 2. I hope some of you join in the "fun". Think thin!

My name is Lainey and I'm a sugar addict.
Weight the same as last year, still need/want to lose 5-8 pounds. The Christmas fudge is almost gone, the caramel and chocolate covered popcorn is almost gone. I re-gifted a box of chocolates I received as had I opened them I was doomed. Still have the exercise aspect covered, now to stop the snacking..............
But not until 1/1/17, right?

I'm not even looking at the scale until Monday. I'm just trying to get into the right frame of mind right now.

I not only get on the scale but it records my weight in my garmin myfitness file.

Didn't step on the scale. Would not tell the number if I did...I did have a New Year's Day Zumba class which I enjoyed, and spent time cleaning this afternoon. The fudge is gone, the chocolate/caramel covered popcorn is gone..... Baby steps.

I put on weight every winter. My peak low will be in late September and my peak high will be in early January. No matter what I do or how many miles I run, I go above 200 pounds. Last New Year's day was a fluke at 195. Usually I am around 208 and today was no exception at 207. I have been weighing myself on New Year's day and documenting it in my journal for 16 years so I know it is coming each year. I will get down to the low 190's by summer. I can concentrate on weight loss and get into the low 180's, but there is no weight lifting and cut my calorie intake to 1000 calories and 2+ hours of cardio a day and get into the low 180's, but my body doesn't like that and I like cookies..... A LOT.

253.8 yesterday, actually didn't get on the scale today. at least not yet which is unusual.
