Default Long flight - Need ideas on games from my generation

Homeland is topped out for me, so looking for a few games for the 40 something generation, not into all the kids stuff fantasy etc. like my angry birds type of games - yeah i'm old.

A few ideas would be much appreciated.

I LOL at the cards suggestion. I'm with Emil when it comes to the games. Heck, I wish I still had Pong!

Where you flying Andy?

Connected or not connected during flight? What kind of genre? Board, strategy, time wasters?

non connected... time wasters i suppose. looked through previous games:

feed me oil
bridge constructor
bad piggies
catapult king
tank hero
Where's my wayer
gears

time flys, when i got my phone and ipad i could look at what was popular and grab something i do that now and i feel like the guy in best buy looking for a sony Walkman nothing looks remotely familiar and i don't want to play a racing game where i can buy a 911 drop a jet engine in it and fly across tracks while shooting down ISIS targets...

I like trivia games like Logo Game, Word Brain, What Am I?, and Solitaire. They're free from the Game Store.

Bring a book. Much better than a game.
