Acura TL trade for S2000?
Hello s2k community. I will soon be in the market for a new car. I own a 2008 Acura TL and have been wanting something more fun that will also be reliable for years to come while ideally staying within the Honda family. Needless to say when I started researching the S2000 I fell in love. My Acura TL has 140,000 miles on it and is in good condition has the stock premium rims and an after market performance chip. So my real question is could I obtain an S2 with similar miles via a straight across trade? I could also throw roughly 3 grand into this transaction if need be. With the resources provided could I get my hands on one of these beautiful four cylinder machines? I hope to be joining this community soon all replies and advice are appreciated.

My reasons for a separate daily;
-I work in a sketchy area
-Saves wear-and-tear
-My town easily floods when it rains
-I obsess over my car!
I do have space needs (have a large dog), so that's a big factor for me.
Now my s gets to be the garage queen it deserves.

I have an 06 TL as my daily and my S is my weekend car. It's the best of both worlds as they are 2 completely different animals. The TL is smooth and quiet for the highway commute to work, while the S is entertaining and sporty for ripping around town. They are like ying and yang together.

Having the TL and the S sounds magical but I can only comfortably afford one vehicle. Would It be unreasonable to think I could get an S through trading my TL given a few extra grand for negotiating? I'm really just trying to find the best way to get into an S and need to know if getting one with the resources at hand is a real possibility or if I should be expecting to finance. I mean I bought my TL for $11,000 (with 20,000 less miles and no performance chip) So well call it a $9-10K car at this point. Could I get a decent S in the $12-14 range?

I've seen a few S2s in the $10-14 range which is right where I'm at but others are
$20k+. Are these Lower priced cars just too good to be true or are the higher priced ones unaccurately priced/special for whatever reason (be it mods or a special color)

Other than Hondata, I've never heard of a legit "Performance Chip" for the 3G TL, and I had mine for nearly 8 years. I don't miss my TL at all, however, I don't drive the S2000 everyday. They're two totally different vehicles that are hard to compare.
