My very first run after I arrived at the track without cooldown was a 13.9 @ 100 mph.

My 2nd run was a 13.80 @ 101.75 mph. After a several more high 13 runs, I finally managed to reach mid 13s!

Sakred came with his 350Z and shocked everyone. His only mod was air filter delete which he says adds 10 rwhp. Well, apparently it worked! I witnessed a 14.3 @ 96 mph from his car

For those of you who are not familiar with LACR, Palmdale; the physical altitude is 3000' above sea level. I believe the DA correction factor for tonight was between .6 - .7 tenth. So going by altitude correction, I made a 13.1 pass on stock tires

That would put Sakred in his 350Z @ 13.7

On another note there was an SMG M3 there running low 14's for the majority of the night. I believe his best was a 13.99; not too shabby!

A few other cars that deserves mentioning was a Z06 and an LS1 SS Camaro. The Z06 best time was a 13.3 @ 106 mph and the LS1 SS Camaro was a 14.1 @ 101 mph.

EDITED: I also got the best reaction time for the night, they announced it on the PA. I got a .509 reaction on my 2nd run

All and all it was a terrific night and we all had some pretty awesome passes. Maybe next time some of you S2000 boys could show up

He has the S54 M coupe which has 315 HP.

Hey S4, what's the fastest S2000 you seen at LACR?

That I have personally seen? 15.2

Although rumors has it there is one running a 14.8, but I was not there. Given average DA correction is between .6-.9 sec; it is totally believable.

Personally, were all in shock about Sakred's 350Z. Damn, 14.3 ... thats NUTTS! he was up there with the LS1 C5 Corvette and SS Camaros. You would expect 14.3 in magazine times, but this was at PALMDALE

Nice times S4, was the M3 SMG a older filipino dude in the light blue M3. I raced him when I was there. That 14.3 by the 350Z is pretty impressive. How was the weather ? When I was there it was colder than sh** ! and the ground was harder than hell, no traction by anybody. That reaction time is off the hook. Did anybody break 2.1 60' ? The fastest I have ever seen an S2000 was 15 flat with a test pipe & exhaust.

Actually, 14.3@96 out of the Z doesn't surprise me at all. I've only run my CRX at Palmdale once, back in August and it ran a 14.4@94 mph (with a 2.0 60 ft - gotta love sticky tires).

On a dead dig, my S2000 is a bit faster than my CRX and pulls more as speeds climb. And since the Z should be, on average, faster than the S2000 even without the free mods (which do work), Sakred's times sound about right to me. I'm sure with a little more traction he could have knocked another tenth or two off quite easily.

As for the other S2000s up there, shame on them :-). You've almost tempted me to bring mine to the strip - almost, but not quite :-)

THIS IS E46's BROTHER:

im too lazy to sign up and he was already logged in and i wanted to reply to this....

thats an amazing time for that 350z.. im VERY impressed... the actuall altitude is more like 2700ft, but still too high.. and those are great times you ran with your M.... are those the only mods you have in your sig?

i ran a 13.6 there with the cobra stock... when i asked around people said the correction was more around .3 .4 seconds... which seems about right because i was getting 2.4 60's

nonetheless those are great times.. keep it up =)

I beg to differ about the correction times. Thats .3 - .4 tenths of physical altitude correction which if I recall correctly only compensates for air density. That doesnt even take into consideration of barometric pressure, humidity and other factors.

Btw, what year was your cobra? And did you cut a 13.6 w/ 2.4 60' time?

Oh, another thing you might want to think about. Remember, 3000' above sea level in the desert is much different than 3000' above sea level in the ever greens
When you race at LACR you gotta get the DA correction. DA is a formula that consists of ALL measurements to give you an accurate E.T. adjustment formula. I'll post it when I find it.

ic, you are Very correct... thanks for clarifying i guess i would be high mid 12's stock.... i was cutting 13.6's, 13.7's and 13.8's all night.... i ran a 13.6 with a 2.34 60ft i couldnt get traction...

see if i factor in that much of a correction that would mean i was running a high 12' which with my 60' didnt seem likely...
