Caught! The new Nissan Maxima

These pictures were taken in Torrance, CA near Nissan's headquarters. Four Japanese guys were driving it, and the car had Michigan MFR plates.
If you look closely you'll see some dumb disquise-items such as the grill divider at the front. To me it resembles the G35 a lot, but with load of Z-details mixed in (vertical turn signals, hemispheric rear).
Interesting to see that the wheels look HUGE in comparison to the Accord that happened to be driving by it. (Compare the wheels! dang..)

I thought Nissan was better at designing cars than other manufactuers do. I guess times change.

Great spy pics, but the look of the car does nothing for me.
After that I'm thinking the BMW 740i is looking better and better!

How long ago were those pictures taken? The reason I ask is that the car looks exactly like the Altima (same platform as the new Infinity)...
